Contractors are increasingly turning to cork-based coatings because they offer more than just an attractive finish. A quality cork render can help improve insulation, reduce condensation, add weather protection and create a breathable surface that is ideal for both modern and older buildings. However, to get the best results from cork render, you need the right machine. At CES Hire, we work closely with our partners at TIWI CorkSpray and have seen first-hand how well the Euromair 8P performs when applying their products. So why is the Euromair 8P such a good match for cork render? [![Buy A Euromair Machine Today](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/20165488/23d6ce44-3283-47ad-8c27-7380b1b46f3f.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/20165488/23d6ce44-3283-47ad-8c27-7380b1b46f3f) ## What Is Cork Render? [![Paddle Mixer mixing Cork Render](https://blog.ces-hire.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Paddle%20Mixer%20mixing%20Cork%20Render.png?width=168&height=264&name=Paddle%20Mixer%20mixing%20Cork%20Render.png)](https://ces-hire.com/product/euromair-droppro-8p/)Cork render is a spray-applied coating made from natural cork granules combined with resins and pigments. Unlike traditional render, it creates a seamless, breathable layer that helps improve both the appearance and performance of a building. One of the biggest advantages of cork render is that it is suitable for a huge range of surfaces, including: - Brick and blockwork - Existing render - Masonry and stone - Timber and metal surfaces - Internal plaster and external walls Because cork render remains breathable, it is particularly popular for older solid-wall properties where trapped moisture can often be a problem. ## Why Cork Render Is Growing in Popularity ![Cork Render](https://blog.ces-hire.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Cork%20Render.png?width=208&height=295&name=Cork%20Render.png) Contractors and homeowners alike are looking for solutions that do more than simply cover a wall. Cork render has become popular because it combines several benefits in one product. ### 1. Breathable and Moisture Resistant Traditional coatings can trap moisture within the wall. Cork render allows vapour to pass through, helping to reduce condensation, damp and mould while still protecting the surface from rain and weather. This makes it especially useful for heritage properties and solid-wall homes. ### 2. Thermal and Acoustic Benefits Cork is a natural insulator. Even when applied in a thin layer, cork render can help reduce heat loss and improve comfort inside a building. It also provides sound insulation, reducing external noise and vibration. ### 3. Flexible and Crack Resistant Unlike some traditional renders, cork render remains flexible once cured. This means it can move with the building and is less likely to crack over time. For UK properties exposed to changing weather conditions, this is a major advantage. ### 4. Fast, Clean Application Because cork render is spray applied, it is much quicker to install than many traditional render systems. This reduces labour time and helps you complete jobs more efficiently. ## Why the Euromair 8P Works So Well With Cork Render [![Euromair 8P Render Spray Machine](https://blog.ces-hire.com/hs-fs/hubfs/8p%20sale.jpeg?width=371&height=279&name=8p%20sale.jpeg)](https://ces-hire.com/product/euromair-droppro-8p/) To spray cork render successfully, you need a machine that can cope with the product’s texture and provide a smooth, consistent finish. That is where the Euromair 8P comes in. The Euromair DropPro 8P has been designed specifically for spraying thicker decorative and insulating coatings, including cork render. ### Compact and Easy to Use The Euromair 8P is a compact, lightweight machine that is easy to move around site. Weighing just 50kg, it is ideal for both internal and external projects where access can sometimes be limited. For contractors working on domestic properties or smaller commercial jobs, this portability is a huge benefit. ### Suitable for Cork Render Materials [![Euromair 8P Render Sprayer](https://blog.ces-hire.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-04-07%20140005.png?width=200&height=277&name=Screenshot%202026-04-07%20140005.png)](https://ces-hire.com/product/euromair-droppro-8p/)Not every spray machine can handle cork-based products. The Euromair 8P is specifically designed to spray: - Cork render - Decorative plasters - Thin-coat render - Waterproof coatings - Textured finishes Its pump and nozzle system allow it to handle materials with grain sizes up to 2mm, making it perfectly suited to cork render products such as those supplied by TIWI CorkSpray. ### Consistent Spray Pattern One of the most important factors when applying cork render is achieving an even finish. The Euromair 8P provides a smooth and consistent spray pattern, helping to avoid patchy areas or uneven coverage. The machine offers an adjustable flow rate of up to 10 litres per minute, giving the operator full control depending on the product and surface being sprayed. This means you can achieve a professional finish more quickly and with less material waste. ### 110v Power for Site Use The Euromair 8P runs on a 110v power supply (240v is also available on request), making it ideal for UK building sites. There is no need for a more complex three-phase setup, so you can get started quickly and easily. For contractors who regularly move between jobs, this simplicity can save valuable time. ## A Perfect Match for TIWI CorkSpray Products > [View this post on Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DW4M6inIQiu/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading) > > [A post shared by CES Hire Ltd (@ces\_hire)](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DW4M6inIQiu/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading) Our recent open day with TIWI CorkSpray gave customers the chance to see the Euromair 8P and cork render working together in real life. The results spoke for themselves. The machine allowed the cork render to be applied evenly and efficiently, showing just how quickly the product can transform a wall. The combination of TIWI’s breathable, insulating cork render and the reliable performance of the Euromair 8P makes this an ideal solution for contractors looking to offer something different to their customers. TIWI’s cork render products are available in a range of pre-coloured finishes, meaning there is often no need for additional painting afterwards. Combined with the fast spray application of the Euromair 8P, this can reduce labour time even further. ## Why Contractors Choose CES Hire At CES Hire, we do more than simply supply machinery. With over 40 years of experience in plastering and rendering equipment, we help our customers choose the right machine for the job. When you purchase a Euromair 8P from us, we can also provide training at our High Wycombe HQ. This gives you the opportunity to work alongside our experts, learn how to set the machine up correctly and gain confidence before taking it to site. That practical support is one of the reasons why so many contractors continue to choose CES Hire. ## Ready to Start Spraying Cork Render?
