Built from heavy-duty, food-grade HDPE, these tubs handle everything from testing mixes and flushing machines to cleaning hoses and parts, making life on site easier, cleaner, and more efficient. [![Browse Our Products](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/20165488/d740688f-d6d8-43d5-8c1d-797f20f8f8a7.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/20165488/d740688f-d6d8-43d5-8c1d-797f20f8f8a7) --- ## The Unsung Hero of the Site [![Refina Buckets](https://blog.ces-hire.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Refina%20Buckets%201.png?width=177&height=247&name=Refina%20Buckets%201.png)](https://ces-hire.com/product/refina-x-1-white-heavy-duty-food-grade-plaster-mixing-bucket-tub/)When it comes to tools on a construction site, the spotlight often falls on mixers, pumps, or spray machines. Yet one of the most practical and underrated pieces of kit is the [**plaster mixing tub**](https://ces-hire.com/product/refina-x-1-white-heavy-duty-food-grade-plaster-mixing-bucket-tub/). Simple in design but incredibly versatile, these tubs are the backbone of daily plastering, rendering, and screeding work. For builders, plasterers, and contractors, having reliable, durable tools isn’t just a convenience, it’s a necessity. That’s where the Refina mixing tubs come in. --- ## Built Tough for Daily Use [![Refina Buckets on Site](https://blog.ces-hire.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Refina%20Buckets%20on%20Site.png?width=172&height=300&name=Refina%20Buckets%20on%20Site.png)Refina mixing tubs](https://ces-hire.com/product/refina-x-1-white-heavy-duty-food-grade-plaster-mixing-bucket-tub/) are designed to withstand the demands of a busy site. Made from thick-walled, rigid **food-grade HDPE**, they’re **UV-resistant** and capable of handling temperatures from **-30°C to 100°C**. That means they don’t crack, warp, or degrade, even under harsh site conditions. The tall-sided design keeps splashes under control during mixing, while sturdy side handles make carrying and manoeuvring heavy loads far easier. Stackable and optionally fitted with lids for storage, they’re also practical in tight storage areas. For anyone looking to **invest in reliable plastering or screeding tools**, a Refina plaster mixing tub is a no-brainer. --- ## Versatility That Saves Time and Effort What makes the Refina tub truly stand out is its versatility. It’s not just for mixing plaster. Here are some of the ways it can be used on site: - **[![Spraying into Refina Tub](https://blog.ces-hire.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Spraying%20into%20Refina%20Tub.png?width=209&height=378&name=Spraying%20into%20Refina%20Tub.png)](https://ces-hire.com/product/refina-x-1-white-heavy-duty-food-grade-plaster-mixing-bucket-tub/)Testing Material:** Quickly test plaster, screed, or render mixes before committing to spraying on the wall or pouring into a void. - **Getting the Consistency Right:** Achieve the perfect flow and spray consistency for your rendering or screeding projects before you press 'go' on the main application. - **Flushing Machines:** Use the tub to flush out pumps or hoses at the end of a job. - **Cleaning Hoses, Spray Guns and Parts:** Keep your equipment in top condition without making a mess. - **Mixing a Range of Materials:** Suitable for plaster, liquid screed, resins, and other flowable construction materials. Having one or two of these tubs on site can streamline your workflow, reduce waste, and make cleanup faster and more efficient. --- ## Why Size and Design Matter [![Washing out Hoses in refina Tub](https://blog.ces-hire.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Washing%20out%20Hoses%20in%20refina%20Tub.png?width=175&height=240&name=Washing%20out%20Hoses%20in%20refina%20Tub.png)](https://ces-hire.com/product/refina-x-1-white-heavy-duty-food-grade-plaster-mixing-bucket-tub/)It’s easy to underestimate the importance of a good mixing tub, but the **tall design** of Refina tubs makes a real difference. When mixing high-viscosity or flowable materials, splashing can slow down work and create mess. A tall, rigid tub reduces splashes and keeps material contained, which is especially important in busy or confined work areas. The **robust handles** also make transporting heavy mixes easier, whether you’re moving plaster to a workstation, carrying screed to a pump, or just repositioning the tub on site. --- ## Durability That Lasts [![Product Consistency Checks in Refina Tub](https://blog.ces-hire.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Product%20Consistency%20Checks%20in%20Refina%20Tub.png?width=139&height=214&name=Product%20Consistency%20Checks%20in%20Refina%20Tub.png)](https://ces-hire.com/product/refina-x-1-white-heavy-duty-food-grade-plaster-mixing-bucket-tub/)Construction tools take a beating. That’s why the **thick gauge HDPE construction** of Refina tubs is a huge advantage. They’re built to withstand repeated daily use, resistant to cracking, UV damage, and chemical exposure from common materials used in plastering and screeding. Plus, they’re **food-grade rated**, meaning the plastic is non-toxic and safe, giving you peace of mind that it won’t degrade or leach chemicals into your mixes.
