CES’s Charity Campaign

CES are delighted to be launching our charity campaign this November.  We shall be donating 10% of the sales of our tapes this month to a charity that is close to our hearts. So, stock up on those much needed tapes and do your bit for charity at the same time.

Who Are We Supporting?

CES are supporting Tadley Elderly Day Care based in Tadley, Hampshire. The Centre carry out amazing work in supporting carers by giving them a much needed break. The charity (established in 1990) is an independent charity which receive no local authority or national funding. Whilst carers are able to have important time off, their love ones receive the best possible care.

Tadley Elderly Day Care provide a fantastic timetable in wonderful caring environment run by staff and volunteers. Activities are designed to be relaxing and entertaining including things such as games, quizzes, bingo, boules, skittles as well as time for chatting over tea and biscuits and a delicious two course hot lunch. The program is tailored to individuals needs and really enriches each of the day guests lives. Tadley Elderly Day Care is open on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and caters for a variety of needs including dementia, Parkinson’s, strokes, loneliness and isolation.

Why Are We Supporting Them?

CES is a family company. Established in 1983 by the late Dennis Rogers, the company is now run by his son, Nick Rogers. Dennis’s wife Alma was an integral part of setting up the company. She then went on to manage the accounts at CES for more than 25 years. Now, at aged 89, Alma’s health has deteriorated in recent years and she is cared for by family. Every Wednesday she attends Tadley Elderly Day Care; who the family all agree do the most amazing job.

Nick, CES’s Managing director (Alma’s son) says “The staff are such lovely caring people who are doing this because they passionately care about helping others and this in turn allows their carers a much needed break. This is the ethos of the day care centre; keeping people at home as long as possible. The staff play games, supply teas, cake a hot meal and keep the elderly men and women entertained throughout the day. What a great job they do, and mum looks forward to going there.”

Family Affair

CES are delighted to be working alongside Image Box Design (who are in fact the magic behind our famous Christmas cards amongst other things). Image Box Design is headed up by Malcolm Henwood, Alma’s son-in-law. They shall be supporting us in this charity campaign and donating artwork free of charge; thank you Malcolm and Image Box.
